Christmas Cinderella at Sadlers Wells

Sadler's Wells Resident Company, New Adventures, returns for it's annual Christmas season with a typically unique interpretation of the best loved fairy tale of all, Cinderella. Illamasqua had the pleasure of supporting the Make-Up and Hair department for the Matthew Bourne ballet company.

Set in London during the Second World War, Matthew Bourne's interpretation of Prokofiev's haunting score has, at its heart, a true wartime romance and his storytelling has never been more passionate and touching. A chance meeting results in a magical night for Cinderella and her dashing young RAF pilot, together just long enough to fall in love before being parted by the Blitz.

Moira O'Connell, head of Make-Up and Hair, and other members of the team including Anthony Girdlestone, Linda Halpin and Amy Brand were impressed by the quality and versatility of the Illamasqua collections.

“Over all we are very impressed with all the products sent. The products are attractivly presented. The eyeshadows blend really well are long lasting with a strong pigment.

The mascara seperates well and doesn't smudge and the cake eyeliner is gorgeous. The eyelashes are a big hit with all the cast and adaptable to every eye shape. We love the brushes.” Moira O’Connell
