'London Calling' with Leena Adesara

Leena Adesara is a UK National Make Up Artist, visiting Australia to work exclusively with the Illamasqua team in Myer's Sydney City store. On Saturday 9th October from 10-11.30am, Leena will be hosting a masterclass on summer looks, bringing with her the latest make-up creations that have been rocking the UK, just as it begins to hot up in Australia.

Leena is one of Illamasqua's most experienced MUA, she arrived in town last week and has been getting to know the glamorous side of Sydney-siders. "There is a hunger for colour here. It seems the Australians are bored with subtle pink lips and beige cheeks. Especially as the designer fashions are predominantly in nude colours this season, there is a absolutely need for strong, seductive make up."

The master class booking fee is AUS$70, which is entirely redeemable against Illamasqua product purchased on the day. Bookings can be made on the counter, or by calling 1800 661 210.

Release Your Alter Ego

A quick update for all you New Yorkers, our new Brand Ambassador Kim Anderson will be in the Times Square Sephora store tomorrow (October 7th) from 12pm-6pm local time.

The theme is Alter Ego and the event really gives you chance to meet Kim and explore some fantastic new looks via express service. She's there to answer any questions that you have about Illamasqua; she can talk you through the pieces on our gondola and how to use them (whether it's for a sexy night time look or a casual work day). Learn how to use the pieces and get the best out of your make up routine!

If you need any tips or advice she's your go-to-gal. Have fun!

Illamasqua Icons: Dirty Harry

Rebellious rocker Dirty Harry has teamed up with Illamasqua for her latest video ‘I’ve Been Down’. Our National MUA Adam was on set producing incredible looks for Harry as well as starring in some of the scenes himself!

Harry has had a crazy life; some would say the stereotypical grunge rocker, becoming embroiled in drink and drugs. After disappointing false starts, heart breaking drama and a brief television appearance; Harry is back on top. Having collaborated with Slash, Motley Crüe’s Tommy Lee and befriended Courtney Love, life couldn’t get any better; well until Gary Numan asked her to support him throughout his UK tour.

Harry has taken control of her life and her music becoming a bona fide British rock artist. Having been compared to the likes of Paramore, Sweethead, Spinerette and Hole, she’s now gearing up for a single release and a host of live shows. Harry has lived more than any of us could imagine and instead of becoming a clichéd rock n roll suicide these events have garnished her music with genuine vitriol, honesty and edge and Illamasqua are proud to sponsor her all the way to the top!

Adam Sidwell, one of our national make-up artists, created the looks for Dirty Harry and even got a small role in the final video - see if you can find him...
